Amrit Rai, Director of the Nepal Association of the Blind (NAB), has dedicated over 25 years to advocating for visually impaired individuals. Holding a Master's in Sociology from Tribhuvan University, he has significantly advanced NAB's mission through roles such as General Secretary and Programme Director. His leadership has expanded NAB's regional presence, secured teaching positions for visually impaired individuals, and fostered international collaborations with organizations like the Asian Blind Union and the World Blind Union. His commitment extends to promoting inclusive education and eye health services across Nepal, enhancing the lives of visually impaired individuals nationwide.

Sanjay Awale has served as the Account Officer at the Nepal Association of the Blind since 2014, playing a pivotal role in overseeing the organization's financial operations. With over a decade of experience in financial management, he ensures the smooth functioning of NAB's financial processes. He holds a Master’s in Business Studies (M.B.S.) with a specialization in Finance and is dedicated to enhancing financial efficiency to support NAB's mission of advocating for and empowering visually impaired individuals. His prior experience includes accounting roles at organizations such as Civil Business Complex, Maniga Bhutu, and Emerging Architects Pvt. Ltd.

Khomraj Sharma is an expert in Disability-Inclusive Development and Community-Based Inclusive Development (CBID) training. With 25 years of experience, he has consulted NGOs and INGOs on developing disability-inclusive plans, policies, and programs. As a certified accessible content producer and trainer, he has led ICT and digital accessibility training for visually impaired individuals and professionals. His expertise extends to strategic planning, advocacy, and capacity-building to advance disability rights and inclusion in Nepal.

Ms. Parbata Sharma, known as Paru, is a dedicated advocate for disability inclusion and social equity. She currently works as the Country Coordinator for the "Collective Action for Disability Rights (CADiR)" program at the Nepal Association of the Blind. She leads the initiatives to mainstream disability across five thematic areas. With a Master’s degree in Humanities and Social Sciences, she has over a decade of experience in disability rights, gender equality, social inclusion, project development/management and advocacy. Beyond her professional achievements, she is deeply passionate to empowering marginalized communities, specially women and persons with disabilities, and believes in equity, inclusion, and creating a world where everyone feels they belong.

Ms. Suyasha Adhikari, program officer of NAB holds a bachelor’s degree in public health and is currently pursuing a M.A. in Gender Studies. Since 2021, she has been actively working in the field of disability. She has developed strong expertise in project management and has a keen interest in research. Additionally, she is passionate about mental health and women’s empowerment.

Samjhana Ranjitkar, a Master's graduate in Environmental Science, has been an integral part of the Nepal Association of the Blind since 2017. She began her tenure as a Project Coordinator for the Norwegian Inclusion Project, contributing significantly to its initiatives over a three-year period. Transitioning into administrative roles, she served as an Administrative Assistant and is currently the Administrative Officer at NAB's Central Office. In addition to her administrative duties, she is currently acting as the focal person for the NAB/DAB Program. She possesses a strong background in administration and project management, showcasing exceptional organizational and leadership skills.

Ms. Yamuna Paudel has been serving as an Administrative Assistant at the Nepal Association of the Blind since 2025. She began her journey with NAB as a volunteer and was later appointed as Hostel Warden, a position she held from 2022 to 2024. Yamuna holds a Master's degree in Public Administration. In her current role, she plays a crucial part in managing administrative tasks and ensuring smooth communication and coordination within the organization.

Nir Kumar Magar is an experienced Braille Press Manager at the Nepal Association of the Blind having joined the organization in 2001. He is detail-oriented and highly organized, with a strong commitment to ensuring the accurate production and timely delivery of Braille materials. His expertise in managing specialized Braille printing equipment, coordinating with proofreaders, and overseeing the entire process makes him a reliable and essential contributor to supporting visually impaired individuals.

Ms. Balkumari Subba has been a dedicated Braille Proofreader at the Nepal Association of the Blind since 1999. In this role, she ensures the accuracy and quality of Braille materials, playing a crucial part in providing accessible information to visually impaired individuals. Beyond proofreading, she contributes to the organization's mission by teaching Braille and assisting in the production of Braille textbooks. She holds a 10+2 in Education, which complements her extensive experience in supporting the educational needs of the blind and partially sighted community.

Rejina Rai serves as the Assistant Braille Press Operator at the Nepal Association of the Blind where she plays a vital role in supporting the Braille Press Manager to ensure seamless press operations. She holds a 10+2 in Education and is committed to maintaining efficiency and harmony in the production of accessible reading materials for visually impaired individuals.

Shiva Kumar Agrawal is a dedicated youth leader, passionate advocate for disability rights, and technology enthusiast. He holds a Master’s degree in Conflict, Peace, and Development Studies and actively works to promote inclusive education, employment, and accessibility for persons with disabilities.
Professionally, he serves as a Computer Trainer at Nepal Association of the Blind, where he empowers visually impaired individuals with essential digital skills. Committed to creating an accessible and equitable society, he tirelessly advocates for equal access to information and opportunities for all.

Mrs. Gopi Giri has been an integral member of the Nepal Association of the Blind since January 1998. In her role as Office Assistant, she consistently ensures a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for all board, staff and visitors. Her dedication to maintaining office operations contributes significantly to NAB's mission of supporting blind and partially sighted individuals in Nepal.

Mr. Chudamani Khanal has been a dedicated Office Attendant at the Nepal Association of the Blind since January 1999. His commitment to maintaining the cleanliness and security of NAB's central office, ensures a safe and welcoming environment for board, staff and visitors. In addition to his custodial duties, he provides valuable assistance in banking-related tasks, thereby supporting NAB's mission to empower blind and partially sighted individuals in Nepal.

Shree Kumar Rai has been serving as a Driver at the Nepal Association of the Blind since December 2019. His role is vital in ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of board, staff, visitors, and supplies, directly supporting NAB's mission to advocate for and empower blind and partially sighted individuals across Nepal.

Anichha Dhakal is a program coordinator at NAB Koshi Province. Her career in the disability field began at the Blind Women Association Nepal, where she served as a Program Officer. Driven by a passion for this work, she has accumulated six years of experience and continues to contribute. She holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology and Anthropology and a master's degree in English Literature. She is enthusiastic about learning and dedicated to advancing her work in the field.

Padam Bahadur Singh is the Program Coordinator of NAB Sudurpaschim Province Office, with a background in the disability sector since 2017. He is the President of NATTA Sudurpaschim Province Association and Lions Club of Dhangadhi Green City (2024-2025). He also holds key roles in cricket, taekwondo, cooperatives, and tourism. A Director at Hotel Sorai Pvt. Ltd. and Managing Director at PS Travelpoint Tours, he has a Master’s in Health Education from Tribhuvan University and resides in Dhangadhi.

Pragya Khapung Limbu , NAB Koshi Province Social Mobilizer has completed her Bachelors degree in Education faculty and currently planning for her master’s degree. She has her 4 Years of experience as social mobilizer . She has done her volunteer at different programme in disable field before her job.

Jeevan Dallakoti is a senior Field Supervisor at NAB Rehabilitation Program Dhading. His career began at NAB from 2000 to 2005 as a field worker. After 5 years of experience in the field of Blind and partially sighted people, he was promoted to be a field supervisor from 2005 to 2020. After that he was promoted to be a Senior Field Supervisor (SFS) from 2020 to till the date. With 25 years of experience, he has facilitated to organize different vocational trainings and meetings for BPS along with disabled people, providing O&M training, Daily Life skill (DLS) training, disbursement of interest free seed fund loan, distributing braille papers with slate, stylus, supervision of field workers and BPS clients, advocacy for BPS people, coordination with local NGOs/INGOs, Lions club, Eye hospitals, resource schools and different Municipalities/Rural Municipalities in Nepal.

Anit Guro has been serving as Field Supervisor at NAB Rehabilitation Program since May 2019. He holds a Bachelor's degree in education from Tribhuvan University. He has dedicated over 5 years to advocating for the rights of BPS people through the program’s four thematic areas, Human Rights and Organization Development (HR&OD), Health & Rehabilitation (HR), Inclusive Education (IE) and Economic Empowerment (EE). Similarly, he has played a pivotal role in improving the lives of many BPS people through IE, EE, and HR activities in program areas. Beyond this, he is passionate about improving the lives of marginalized communities, children and women, and persons with disabilities nationwide.

Ms. Rita Chand is the Program Coordinator for the NAB/DAB project in Karnali Province under the Nepal Association of the Blind. She has been actively working for the empowerment and inclusion of people with visual impairment for 6 years. From 2016 to 2019, she worked as a project coordinator for the Norwegian Project for Inclusion, and since 2023, she has been working with the NAB/DAB project. She holds a master's degree in Conflict and Peace Studies from Mid-Western University and is also studying law. She lives in Birendranagar, Surkhet, and plays a leadership role in the civil society sector in Surkhet District. She has been expanding networks in marginalized communities, disability rights, women, children, youth, and civil society, and has made significant contributions to social campaigns.

Tej Ram Bhandari is the Field Supervisor for the NAB/DAB Program in Karnali Province under the Nepal Association of the Blind. He previously served as a social mobilizer from 2022 to 2024 in the Empowerment Inclusion of BPS Persons in Nepal Project under NAB/DAB Project. In 2025, he was promoted to Field Supervisor for a new program. He holds a bachelor's degree in international relations & diplomacy from Midwestern University and is currently pursuing a master's degree and resides in Surkhet.

Padam Bahadur Badaila is a social mobilizer at NAB Sudurpaschim Province under the NABP Nepal Project. He has been actively working in the disability sector since 2020. Being a person with low vision himself, he is also a national player of Nepal's blind cricket team. He has represented Nepal in the Blind Cricket World Cup three times—in 2012, 2017, and 2024. He is currently pursuing his bachelor's degree.
