Nepal Association of the Blind (NAB) unveiled its Digital Braille Resource Library on November 7, 2024, a first-of-its-kind platform in Nepal. The library is designed to provide visually impaired individuals with easy access to a variety of resources, including educational materials, recreational books, and informational content in digital Braille format.

The platform is user-friendly and optimized for screen readers, ensuring seamless navigation for blind users. It includes content in both Nepali and English, covering a wide range of topics. NAB collaborated with experts and publishers to curate high-quality materials that cater to the diverse needs of its users.

During the launch event, NAB representatives highlighted the importance of digital accessibility and inclusion. They also announced plans to expand the library's offerings by regularly adding more resources, including academic textbooks and training materials.

This initiative is a significant step toward bridging the digital divide for visually impaired individuals in Nepal, empowering them to access information independently and participate more fully in educational and professional opportunities.
